RE: WAP'S SPOT 2

It has come to our attention that some misconceptions exist as to the relationship between our stallion, Wap's Spot 2, and a stallion named Wap Spotted, which we do not own. It is our purpose herein to clarify those misconceptions. Wap Spotted was sired by our oldest stallion, Wap's Spot 2. Wap Spotted is not the sire of any of our horses. Wap's Spot 2 is the originating stallion. The "2" stands for double bred Wapiti. There was no Wap Spot or Wap Spot 1. It is our belief that the name Wap Spotted originally meant spotted by Wap.

At one point in time, we obtained a mare named Shalako Summer in partial payment of a debt. She was bred to Wap's Spot 2. Despite the sire, we chose to sell the mare and the foal she was carrying. That foal was Wap Spotted.

We would also like to clarify the significance of the numbers issued under the Appaloosa Sport Horse Association Registry. When the registry was started, registration numbers were assigned in the order in which applications were received. The first 100 horses registered were issued Foundation Status, (i.e. F-1, F-2, etc...). The registration numbers have no significance in regard to the quality of the horses registered.

We have been breeding appaloosa sport horses for 40 years and have attained a strong reputation, (both within the appaloosa circuit and the AHSA "A" rated circuit), for quality performance horses with size, bone, talent and sweet temperaments.

We are very proud of our breeding program, our strong appaloosa heritage and of all the big, sound, talented, and sweet tempered horses that we have produced over the years. Every horse you see in our ads was, in fact, sired by one of our stallions. All accomplishments listed are backed with photos, ribbons, trophies, etc... We will be glad to put anyone interested in touch with as many owners of our get as desired to obtain an accurate picture of the quality and temperament of our horses. Anyone interested is also welcome to visit our farm and meet the "boys" up close and personal.
